David Le Breton
David Le Breton is a professor of sociology at the University of Strasbourg and author of several books on pain. He is a specialist in representations and actions of the human body, which he has studied in particular by analysing risky behaviour. His anthropological approach to pain explores the social dimensions of chronic pain and proposes to change the way we look at it. It suggests a new approach to pain management in order to integrate human and social sciences, which brings a transdisciplinary dimension to the EURIDOL project.
