The team's work focuses on analysing the use of physical activity and sports programmes implemented by public policies and institutions (medical, medico-social, socio-educational, sports and educational) for a variety of audiences, including people who are vulnerable due to illness, disability (particularly mental illness) or unfavourable social and family circumstances. Using an approach focused on life courses and bodily experiences, the research aims to better understand individuals' social, relational and subjective trajectories, taking into account social, territorial and gender inequalities. This multidimensional approach makes it possible to identify the conditions and environments that promote social participation, empowerment and well-being throughout life.
Research areas: Health and sport and chronic conditions ; Mental health, pain and physical activity ; Ageing and adapted physical activity ; Social and professional integration through sport ; Health promotion, education and gender equality.
Techniques: Surveys ; Semi-structured interviews ; Life course studies ; Questionnaires & scales ; Drawing ; Participant observation.
