The Managing Team

The Steering Committee  Members

We are now have 8 people working together and sharing responsibilities and missions, meeting every month. The Steering Committee reflects the interdisciplinarity of teaching and research. The team closely interacts with the EURIDOL students, the pedagogic team, the research consortium, numerous university services and departments, as well as the School's external partners (companies, associations, institutions…).

  • EURIDOL Director: Pierrick Poisbeau (PhD), Professor at the Faculty of Life Sciences:

Head of research team “Life Adversity and pain” at the Cognitive and Adaptive Neuroscience laboratory (CNRS UMR 7364). Pierrick Poisbeau has a long-standing expertise of the plasticity of pain circuits during neurodevelopment and in adulthood. He is currently conducting interventional clinical research using non-pharmacological interventions such as cognitive hypnosis, virtual reality scripts and adapted physical activity. Senior fellow of the Institut Universitaire de France, he is also Editor in Chief of the French-language medical journal “Douleur et Analgésie” (Ed. John Libbey Eurotext-Lavoisier) and active member of the French University College of Integrative and Complementary Medicine.

  • EURIDOL Deputy Director: Meggane Melchior (PhD), Assistant professor at the Faculty of Psychology:

Principal Investigator in the Cognitive and Adaptive Neuroscience laboratory (CNRS UMR 7364). MM is currently leading a project on the emotional consequences of adverse childhood experiences.

  • EURIDOL Scientific Director: Michel Barrot (PhD), CNRS Research Director:

MB is a Research Director (DRCE) at CNRS and currently heading the largest CNRS laboratory working on pain in France (Institut des Neurosciences Cellulaires & Intégratives, CNRS UPR3212). Author of over a hundred publications, cumulating over 20,000 citations, MB is an expert in animal models of pain and neuropharmacology of pain treatments. His work on the therapeutic mechanism of antidepressant drugs in neuropathic pain and on the pain/depression comorbidity was awarded the pain management prize from the Institut de France. He is also Section Editor at the European Journal of Pain (Wiley), official journal of the European Pain Federation, and at the European Journal of Neuroscience (Wiley), official journal of the FENS (Federation of European Neuroscience Societies).

  • EURIDOL Pedagogy Director: Perrine Inquimbert, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Life Sciences:

PI is an expert of the nociceptive circuits and of their role in physiological and pathological pain states. She is currently directing a project on the modulation and plasticity of spinal inhibitory synaptic transmission and the role of these processes in the development and the maintenance of chronic pain.

  • EURIDOL Disciplinary Representative: Marie Agostinucci (PhD, psychomotor therapist), Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sport Sciences (as specialist in psychology):

MA is currently leading a research project on the effect of relaxation on students' body awareness in the context of burnout prevention. Her work is mainly on body representation and physical activity in the context of disability or chronic illness (traumatic brain injury, obesity, schizophrenia, depression).

  • EURIDOL Disciplinary Representative: Frédéric Bihel (PhD), CNRS Research Director, Faculty of Chemistry:

FB is the Head of the “Chemogenomic and Medicinal Chemistry” Research Team at the Laboratoire d’Innovation Thérapeutique (LIT, CNRS UMR 7200). With over 20 years of expertise in medicinal chemistry and drug development, FB specializes in designing anti-hyperalgesic compounds. Currently, FB leads several projects targeting unexplored protein targets for the treatment of chronic and inflammatory pain.
